LES GRALLES DE TIRALLONGUES

MUSIC AND CASTELLS

• LA GRALLA: Is a reed instrument of the oboe family with a typical length of 35 centimetres, though this may vary according to the type of GRALLA.
• EL TABAL: Is a type of drum, made of varying materials and of varying sizes.
• LA GRALLA I EL TABAL: The displays by CASTELLERS are always accompanied by the music of the GRALLES and drums for two principal reasons: on the one hand, to guide the CASTELLERS on the progress of the CASTELL being raised and, on the other, to herald the beginning and end of the display.

MELODIES

• TOC DE ENTRADA: This melody is played when the COLLA arrives at the place of the display and to announce when the display is about to begin.
• TOC DE CASTELLS: Is the most important melody and is played when the CASTELL is being building up.
• TOC DE VERMUT: This melody indicates that the display is over.

Apart from these three melodies the GRALLES and TABALER/S often play a diverse range of popular traditional songs.


MUSIQUE ET CASTELLS

• LA GRALLA : C’est un instrument de musique de la famille du hautbois. Il a une longueur de plus ou moins 35 centimètres même si celle-ci peut changée puisqu’il existe plusieurs genres de gralla.
• EL TABAL : C’est un genre de tambour fait en matières diverses et de différentes dimensions.
• LA GRALLA I EL TABAL : Les représentations castelleres sont toujours accompagnées de musiques de gralles i tabals qui ont deux objectifs principaux : - D’une part, ils guident les castellers dans leur évolution de castell. - D’autre part, ils égaient la fête avant et après la représentation.

MÉLODIES

• Toc de entrada : Cette mélodie est jouée quand on arrive sur le lieu de la représentation pour faire savoir que la représentation est sur le point de commencer.
• Toc de castells : C’est la mélodie la plus importante et c’est celle qui est toujours jouée quand on réalise un castell.
• Toc de vermut : C’est la mélodie qui indique la fin de la représentation.

En plus de ces 3 mélodies, les gralles et le tabaler ont l’habitude d’interpréter différentes chansons traditionnelles populaires.

• LA GRALLA: Musikinstrument, das mit der Oboe verwandt ist. Ist 35 cm lang. Die Länge kann aber variieren, da es verschiedene Typen von gralles gibt.
• EL TABAL: Trommeltyp verschiedener Materialien und verschiedener Größen.
• LA GRALLA I EL TABAL: Castells-Vorfürungen werden immer mit der musik von Gralles und Tabals begleitet. Die Musik hat zwei Ziele: erstens die castellers (Menschen) bei dem Bau des Castells zu führen und zweitens das Fest am Anfang und Ende musikalisch zu untermalen.

MELODIEN

- Toc d’entrada: Die Melodie wird gespielt, bevor die Vorführung beginnt. Sie gilt als Anfangssignal.
- Toc de Castells: Sie ist die Hauptmelodie und wird während der Vorführung eines Castells gespielt.
- Toc de Vermut: Diese Melodie wird am Ende der Vorführung gespielt.

- Normalerweise und außerdem von diesen drei Melodien, spielen die Grallers und Tabalers andere verschiedene herkömmliche Volkslieder.
