WHO WE ARE: La colla castellera Tirallongues de Manresa is a group of people from varying origins, of all ages and social backgrounds. There are older people, children, men and women. It is a small world where everyone is welcome.
WHO WE ARE: La colla castellera Tirallongues de Manresa is a group of people from varying origins, of all ages and social backgrounds. There are older people, children, men and women. It is a small world where everyone is welcome.
WHAT DOES TIRALLONGUES DO? Absolutely clear, castells!!! -Human tower-, in English spoken. Tirallongues’ main target is the making of castells (human towers) and the promotion of el fet casteller ( the status of being a casteller). Tirallongues tries to achieve this by taking part in displays around Catalonia and, in doing so, aim to keep popular Catalan culture alive. Human towers (castells) are one of the more genuine Catalan cultural manifestations. The slogan adopted by the human towers team’s world are just four words: strength + balance + courage + good judgement. This is a slogan not only good for human tower metters but it could be usefull in many life situations as well.
