On June 26, 2005, The Beijing Olympic Committee announced that the slogan for the 2008 Olympics will be "One World, One Dream" This dream’ Opening ceremony will be held in the Beijing national stadium at 20:00 hour Beijing Time. 14:00 hour Barcelona time.
They will attend the inaugural ceremonies over 160.00 people between athletes and companies. The political main leaders of the world will be present in the inaugural ceremony of the Olympic games of Beijing 2008.
When the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games kicks off on august 8 the world eyes will be focused on Beijing during the more than two weeks the games will last.
Catalonia athlete’s ratio in Beijing gets a third of the Spanish delegation, over 90 of the Spain athletes come from Catalonia.

The 2008 Summer Paralympics’ Games, the thirteenth Paralympics, will be held in Beijing China from September 6 - 17, 2008.
About 4,000 athletes from 145 countries are expected to take part. If this were to be confirmed, it would be the largest ever number of nations at the Paralympics (nine more than in Athens), and several countries would therefore presumably be competing for the first time.
